Plozz is a media player for Apple TV, iPhone and iPad. It connects to Jellyfin, Plex, Emby, Silo and network shares that you choose.
What we collect
Plozz has no usage analytics and no Plozz account. Crash reporting is optional and off by default. Playing media, fetching metadata, syncing settings and using connected services still require network requests. Those connections are described below; “no analytics” doesn’t mean the app never communicates with another service.
Crash reports & diagnostics (optional, off by default)
Plozz includes an optional crash-reporting feature that isturned off by default. If you enable it under Settings → Help & Diagnostics → Share Crash Reports and the app later crashes, freezes, or is shut down by the system, Plozz sends an anonymous diagnostic report so the problem can be found and fixed.
These reports contain only the technical details of the failure plus your app version, operating-system version, and device model (for example “Apple TV 4K”). They never include your name, your server addresses, your logins or tokens, or anything about what you were watching.
While crash reporting is turned on, you can also tap“Send to Developer” on the Recent Activity screen to send us a copy of the app’s recent activity log on demand — for example when we ask what Plozz was doing around a bug. This is the same list of log lines shown to you on that screen, with tokens, passwords, and server addresses removed, and nothing is sent unless you press the button. If crash reporting is off, the button is unavailable and no log can be sent.
Crash reports and diagnostics are processed and stored by our error-monitoring provider,Sentry(Functional Software, Inc.), on servers in the United States, under Sentry’s privacy policy. You can turn crash reporting off at any time, which disables both the automatic reports and the “Send to Developer” button.
Bug reports & feedback
When you choose to report a problem from inside Plozz, the app shows a link and QR code that open a pre-filled issue on our publicGitHubrepository — only you decide whether to submit it. The pre-filled text includes a small, non-secret summary of your setup (app version, operating-system version, device model, and connected provider types) and a short excerpt — the last few lines — of the app’s recent activity log, with tokens, passwords, and server addresses removed. It never includes your full server addresses, logins, or tokens. Anything you post to GitHub is public and handled underGitHub’s privacy policy. You can also email us atfeedback@plozz.app; we only receive what you choose to send.
Your server details
Login credentials are stored in the system Keychain on your device. They authorize connections to the services you choose and are not sent to the developer. Server users and profiles retain their server-owned access restrictions and watch history; local Plozz profiles don’t replace those identities.
iCloud and setting up another device
iCloud sync carries non-secret profiles, settings and server descriptors, not server login credentials. This data is handled through your Apple account. Watchlist sync and optional history connections are separate from whether a server login is stored in iCloud.
If you approve device-to-device setup, eligible providers’ login credentials can transfer through that flow. Silo is an exception: its rotating login is never cloned. Only the server descriptor transfers, and the receiving device must pair with Silo independently. Pending Silo setup remains available in Settings → iCloud Sync.
Network connections
Plozz connects to your configured media servers and network shares for libraries, playback, subtitles and downloads. Providers receive the authentication and playback information needed to supply those features. Data handling on those servers is governed by their operators’ policies.
Artwork, metadata, ratings and subtitle lookups can contact the services configured for those features. Connected trackers such as Trakt, AniList, MyAnimeList, Simkl and Last.fm receive the supported watchlist or listening/watching activity you enable. Seerr receives requests using the linked server user. Their own privacy policies apply.
The website hosts the authorization relay used to connect AniList and MyAnimeList. That flow processes the authorization data needed to finish sign-in; it is separate from app usage analytics. The website itself is hosted by Cloudflare and requests the public GitHub star count from GitHub.
Children
Plozz is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from anyone.
